While being 'Qualified' and 'Certified' are indeed good things, gaining "Experience" through the "Practical Application" of all this knowledge is as equally important. Acquiring BOTH over the past 14 years has been the key to our success. However, perhaps even more important... LISTENING to you, the customer is the reason we are still here.
Within the next two paragraphs below we have provided a short summary of how we like to approach each and every job. Though written in a rather humorous way, it is VERY true! We call it "It's WATER stupid... not H2O":
H2O...
While we pride ourselves on listening to the customer, we are equally as proud that we speak in a way the customer understands. "Common English" is a good start don't you think? This may not seem like a big deal and to us it isn't. However, to a lot of design firms it is more like pulling teeth! We go that extra mile to ensure that you understand what it is we are saying. We will NEVER talk over your head on purpose. Most web designers get some unexplainable joy in knowing something you don't. Their actual goal of course, is to make you think that they know what they are talking about; therefore you should pay them the ridiculous price they are demanding. H2O is water. Hydrogen (The H) (The small 2= 2 parts hydrogen) and the O=Oxygen (1 part). Now why would one say H2O, when the word WATER is easier to understand? Hmmmm. Water is as clear as it is easy to understand. Water...NOT H2O is what you will hear at Rolen Graphix.

HISTORY...
Rolen Graphix (Now Chattanooga Internet) was "officially" founded in February 1989. In this capacity Rolen Graphix obtained the proper permits, business licenses, etc. We started small as most companies do. As a matter of fact, "we" was simply David Rolen. Rolen Graphix was mainly as its title suggests a graphics design firm. However, gradually slipped into the web design fields late in 1990 (This was not in the literal sense of course, but rather furthering the WWW re-search of the Web via 1 of about 50 servers in the World at the time, haha). For the next 2 years, David was studying, learning and reading...soaking up all the information available about this new technology, later called "The World Wide Web" which was virtually unknown to the general public at that time. Also during this time David was working on various programs, architectures and his favorite… graphic arts of course. By late 1991 the term "World Wide Web" had been circulated enough and he knew that the time had come to "jump in" and take a more direct path towards the Web and supplying customers with all the latest technologies, which were available. This he quickly found out was his calling. It did not take long... In Nov 1992 Rolen Graphix's first commercially sold Web site was "on the Web". Crude...looking back of course, but there it was!
The business grew very fast from that time forward, as the need for "Web Masters" was in very high demand. So heavy, new employees were hired and/or contracted out to fulfill the demand. The outstanding thing about all of this was the fact it (The requests' for business) were coming by word of mouth only! That was and is quite a compliment, not one penny was spent on advertising and the company was covered up...we knew we must be doing something right!
By 1996 it seemed that everyone was calling themselves a "Web Master" and the term came almost synonymous with "I did this", meaning you built the site. No real training...simply I built a web site so therefore I am a Web Master. We noticed by March of that year business slowed a little, but it did not take the public long to realize that merely calling ones self a Web Master and truly being a Master of the Web was entirely two different things! By November of that same year, we were not only back to the January levels of business, but grew! This influx, we believe, came by way of people who had paid good money for a Web site by some "Web Master" or another and they were very unsatisfied. Many of our new customers told us of their plight, how they were basically ripped off and that they were referred to us by ‘so and so’ that had a site designed by us and was very pleased with our work. Most said that they simply "asked around" and Rolen Graphix's name came up more times than not.
We continue to grow and strive to be the best at what we do.
